1940 JEWISH ”JUDE” BADGE THE SECOND WORLD WAR

An extremely rare genuine yellow Star of David in its “Jude” version, used by a German Jew during the Second World War. These were worn so Jews could be identified and persecuted by Nazi authorities. This infamous symbol has become one of the saddest and most powerful icons of the 20th century, and is the most infamous emblem that identifies the Holocaust and extermination of the Jews in Europe.

This yellow Jude badge is in worn condition, with all the details that confirm the authenticity of the badge. It still has the threads of having been stitched to an item of clothing. Badges like this were mandatory for Jews to wear on every jacket or shirt. The majority of yellow Jude badges are in unused condition, so to find a used example like this one is very rare.
